Characterization Review and Character Motives

Agenda: Warm-up: Identify the motives for five characters from Act I.  Why did they name witches or avoid naming witches? Discussion of Act 1 (any missed questions) and the upcoming week Characterization Notes (the basics) Practice identifying direct v. indirect characterization Homework: If you haven't completed Act 1 questions, get them in as soon as possible. Act II questions will be due before break.

Presentation Day

Agenda: Meet with your group Begin presentations Take notes on the material in others' presentations Homework: If you do not present tomorrow, you will lose a significant amount of presentation credit because you are affecting the whole class.  You will then need to present after school. Notes need to be filled out completely for Friday.

Fragments Review

Agenda: Warm-up: Review of Fragment Rules Coordinate v. subordinate conjunction handout Meet with your group and finalize your presentation Homework: Make sure you're ready to present tomorrow, or you will lose class credit

Presentation Workshop

Agenda: Continue working on your presentations.  You need to be pretty much finished coming into class on Tuesday.  You will only have ten minutes or so to meet with your group on Tuesday. Homework: Be caught up so that you are ready to present.

Beginning Presentations

Agenda: Warm-up: Overview of presentation options Continue working on part 2 (you should be able to finish this section today) Begin working on presentation Use the guidelines to help you (rubric is based on them) Homework: If you are not done with Part 2, you need to be for tomorrow
